    This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit https://codiska.com or affiliated web pages or mobile application services (together, the “Platform”) or uses the services offered therein (the “Services”).

    Information we collect

    When you visit the Platform or use the Services, we may collect certain categories of information. These include personal information, meaning any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other information allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.

    Examples of the information we may collect are:

    • first and last name, parents’ phone number, parents’ email, and preferred content and mentor languages of students, parents and guardians (as the case may be) – which we may share with our service partners;
    • user age – which will not be shared by third parties other than our mentors and teachers);
    • purchase orders, invoice history and consumer profiles – which we may share with our service providers;
    • device information such as IP address, device ID and type, domain server, operating system and browser used – which we may share with our service providers and advertising partners;
    • non-public education data such as assignments, results, comments, and messages and chat logs among the students and mentors – which we may share with our service providers; and
    • web analytics such as web page interaction, referring webpages and sources through which you have accessed the Platform or the Services, non-identifiable request IDs, and statistics associated with interaction between device or browser and the Platform and Services – which we may share with our service partners and advertising partners.

    Sources of information we collect

    We collect personal information about you (i) when you provide such information directly to us (such as by creating an account or in response to questionnaires on the Platform or via an email you send us); (ii) when you use the Services and such information is automatically collected; and (iii) through third parties such as our service or advertising partners.

    We collect information automatically using various tools such as:

    • Log files, which track actions occurring on the Platform, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
    • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels,” which are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Platform.
    • Mobile devices and browsers’ location identification and sharing features.

    With whom we may share your information

    As indicated above, we may share some of your information with third parties. These are: (i) our service providers such as technology and web analytics service providers, security and fraud protection advisors, support and customer service vendors and payment processors (currently Stripe, Inc); (ii) our advertising partners such as ad networks and marketing providers, who help us market the Services and provide you offers that may interest you; and (iii) third parties you authorize, third parties you access the Services through them, and social media services you authenticate.

    How we use your information

    We use the information we collect from you: (i) to provide, tailor and improve the Services including by creating and maintaining your account and user profile, offering you the Services, processing your orders, billing you, conducting research, internal analytics and product development, customizing Services and communication based on your needs, preferences and requests, implementing fraud protection and other security measures, debugging and generally conducting any other business stated to be pursued when we collect your information; (ii) to market and sell our Services to you including by showing you internet-based and online behavior-based advertisements (see below); (iii) to correspond with you in accordance with your preference including via emails and electronic messages, which may display content that we think will interest you; (iv) to share educational information with mentors, teachers, parents and guardians in support and delivery of the Services; and (v) to meet legal requirements under applicable laws and to enforce any agreements we have with you (including UniverKids Terms of Use).

    We will not use the personal information we collect from you for materially different, unrelated or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

    Behavioral advertising

    As described above, we use your personal information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.

    Aggregate, de-identified or anonymized data

    We may create aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data from the personal information we collect, including by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to a particular user. We may use such aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze, build and improve the Services and promote our business, provided that we will not share such data in a manner that could identify you.

    Do Not Track

    We do not alter our Platform’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

    Your rights as a European resident

    If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

    If you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Platform), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. NOTE THAT YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE OF EUROPE, INCLUDING TO CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES.

    Data retention

    We may maintain your information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete such information.

    Changes

    We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
