Benefits of Learning Programming?

As the world becomes more and more dependent on coding, the will to learn it has also exponentially increased. For adults, learning how to code can create many job opportunities, a new hobby, and a new skill. So what can programming do for kids?

There are many different programming languages, like python, java, C# and many, many others. And these are literally different languages! They seem complicated, but once one of them is learned, the rest is basically the same (still pretty different). It is a great choice for kids to learn to code. One of the main reasons is that you can’t forget it! So you will always remember the basics and the main concepts. So if a child learns it early (which is brilliant), they will still have the skills once they grow up. This also means that they will be able to learn all of the new programming languages and new ways to communicate with computers in the future because the main concepts and basics will not change!

The journey of learning to code will be a challenging one but an amazing one! Because of all of the bumps, errors, bugs and lengthy debugging, programming is bound to make anyone resilient to any obstacle (well, maybe not everything, but you get the point).

The mindset of “Failing is just another way to NOT accomplish your task” is a very good and useful one, because it can be branched and used in every single case and problem a child might come upon. The resilience which is made during programming also encourages you to not give up, even if you have failed 100 times.

Another thing I experienced while I was learning to code was the fact that I had fun thinking. It was a great joy whenever I completed my task after being in the state of complete focus for 3- minutes. In coding, you can always feel like you are only a line of code away from your goal.
